Business and Levelling Up Health

Wednesday 5th May
15:00 CET 14:00 BST 09:00 ET

The role of business in contributing to the nation’s health

This panel will look at the role of business in contributing to the nation’s health following the launch of Levelling Up Health by the All-Party Parliamentary Group for Longevity on 9 April to meet the government manifesto commitment of five extra years of healthy life expectancy while minimising health inequalities (‘HLE + 5’).

The speakers will outline the different ways in which business can contribute to HLE+5 and how the Business Index- being devised by Business for Health (B4H) to measure business contributions to health, incentivise positive contributions and call out negative ones- can guide a risk management framework for health to enhance the health and economic resilience of the UK.
